About
Welcome to my practice! I am Dr. Doug, a chiropractor born and raised at the beautiful Jersey Shore. After graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic, I dedicated my career to providing comprehensive care tailored to each patient's unique needs.
Each 30-minute appointment allows me to utilize a variety of treatments, including chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue techniques, and when necessary, shockwave therapy. My holistic approach not only focuses on skeletal alignment but also addresses soft tissue dysfunction, ensuring a well-rounded path to recovery.
Additionally, I offer nutritional counseling, stress reduction techniques, and personal training to help achieve each patient's best self.

Chiropractic
I provide gentle, effective chiropractic care using a blend of swift manual adjustments, flexion and distraction therapy, and the Activator Method. These techniques work together to realign the spine, relieve pressure on nerves, and improve nervous system function. Our approach helps reduce pain, enhance mobility, and support your body’s natural healing, all while ensuring your comfort and lasting wellness.
Soft Tissue Therapy
Soft tissue therapy is the core focus of my 30-minute chiropractic treatments, designed to relieve pain, improve mobility, and support your body’s natural healing process. This hands-on approach targets muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia to reduce tension, break down scar tissue, and restore proper function. I utilize a combination of effective techniques, including Active Release Techniques (ART), which uses precise movements and deep pressure to release muscle restrictions and promote healing; Trigger Point Therapy, which focuses on relaxing tight knots in muscles that can cause referred pain; and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) Stretching, a specialized method that enhances flexibility and range of motion by stimulating the nervous system. These soft tissue therapies make up the majority of each session, allowing us to directly address the root causes of pain and dysfunction. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing chronic conditions, or aiming to improve physical performance, this comprehensive approach helps your body move better and feel healthier.
Cupping
Cupping therapy is a powerful, non-invasive treatment that uses suction to stimulate circulation, release muscle tension, and promote healing. By creating a gentle vacuum on the skin, the cups help increase blood flow to targeted areas, which can reduce pain, decrease inflammation, and encourage the body’s natural recovery processes. This ancient technique is especially effective for relieving tight muscles, improving range of motion, and accelerating healing from injuries or chronic conditions. When combined with chiropractic care and soft tissue therapies, cupping provides a holistic approach to your wellness, helping you feel more relaxed, flexible, and balanced.
Graston Technique (IASTM)
Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) is an advanced therapy technique I use to effectively treat soft tissue injuries and dysfunctions. Using specialized tools, IASTM helps break down scar tissue, adhesions, and fascial restrictions that can limit mobility and cause pain. This targeted treatment promotes increased blood flow and stimulates the body’s natural healing response, speeding recovery and improving overall tissue function. IASTM is especially beneficial for conditions such as tendonitis, muscle strains, and chronic tightness, making it a valuable addition to your chiropractic care plan. By combining IASTM with other therapies, we work together to restore optimal movement and reduce discomfort.
Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave therapy is a cutting-edge, non-invasive treatment that uses high-energy acoustic waves to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes. This innovative therapy is highly effective for treating chronic pain and soft tissue injuries by promoting increased blood flow, breaking down scar tissue, and accelerating tissue regeneration. Shockwave therapy is particularly beneficial for conditions such as tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, shoulder pain, and other musculoskeletal issues. When combined with chiropractic care, it enhances recovery, reduces pain, and improves mobility, helping you get back to your daily activities faster and stronger.
